Black Chili Compound
On a high -level tire like the Grand Prix 5000 TL the compound could only be the best available: Continental Blackchill Compound.
The compound for unique coverage of its kind, produced only in Germany, which revolutionizes bicycle tires. The compromise between greater grip and rolling resistance was brought to the highest levels ever with the Blackchill compound. Numerous first places in the tests confirm the measurable and recordable advantages in the laboratory and on the road. The new generation polymers, the carbonic particulate result of nanotechnology and charge agents, guarantee truly unique performance.
Blackchill compound improves rolling resistance by 26% and at the same time offers a grip of about 30% higher than the activated silica mixes. The tires made with Blackchill compound also offer a higher kilometer yield and unlike multiple mixes, a constant performance from the first to the last kilometer.
Lazer Grip Technology
Continental Grand Prix 5000 S Tubeless increases the sensation of control thanks to the Lazer grip technology: the structure with micro carvings to the laser extends from the tread to the shoulder to offer an exceptional grip especially curved.
Vectran braker
The reference in the protection systems against drilling: Grand Prix 5000 S Tubeless uses a protective vectran layer to give you greater tranquility in all conditions.
Vectran is a multiple fiber thermoplastic yarn. This partly crystal clear fabric is more resistant to cut the Aramide, is equipped with a resistance to the traction of five times higher than the steel and is at the same time lighter than a corresponding nylon thread. Vectran maintains these characteristics even with the most hostile climatic conditions.
Tubeless Ready
Continental Tubeless technology optimized for street cyclists. Developed specifically, the Tubeless heel seals through its unique form and provides stable assembly on the circle. GP 5000 S Tubeless Ready is easy to install and reliable in use. Advised L'Use of the Continental Revo sealant.
